Job summary

MetroHealth in Ohio is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West. The role features a bi-weekly schedule of 72 hours, rotating shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, and a 5:1 patient ratio on a medical-surgical CCU unit.

The ideal candidate will perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and support respiratory interventions such as BiPAP and high-flow oxygen, while assisting with bedside procedures and coordinating with care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (within 90 days) and ACLS (within 6 months).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Interpret EKGs, manage central lines and respiratory support.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
