Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step-Down Unit (7 West). The role involves caring for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis, performing EKG interpretation, central line care, and assisting with bedside procedures in a high-acuity setting. The unit operates with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

A bi-weekly full-time schedule is 72 hours, with rotating shifts and weekends. Eligible nurses may receive an up-to $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs and $5,000 for

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers
• ACLS certification either on hire or within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor patients with telemetry and assist with bedside procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with PCNAs, providers, and therapy teams to ensure timely care.
