Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an RN for the Critical Care Step-Down Unit (7 West). The role involves caring for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA and sepsis in a 24-bed unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

You will interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and support bedside procedures in a fast-paced environment. The position offers full-time hours with rotating weekends/holidays and a sign-on bonus for qualified experience, plus comprehensive benefits as a public employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a 24-bed Critical Care Step-Down Unit.
• Perform EKG interpretation and monitor telemetry.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, providers and therapists.
