Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West. This full-time role features 72 bi-weekly hours with a rotating shift pattern of 7a-7p and 7p-7a, including weekends and holidays.

The unit cares for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis, with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and advanced telemetry. You’ll perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit.
• Monitor telemetry and patient status.
• Assist with bedside procedures and invasive diagnostics when needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and timely care.
