Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Critical Care Step Down RN for the 7 West unit in Ohio. You will provide bedside nursing care in a high-acuity environment, utilizing telemetry, ventilators, and invasive lines, while maintaining patient safety and high standards.

Candidates must have Ohio RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within specified timeframes, and graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Rotating shifts and weekend/Holiday rotation apply, with a bi-weekly 72-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in Step Down ICU with 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Care for patients requiring Central Lines, ventilators, and advanced oxygen therapies.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
