Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, in our Cardiac Hospitalist area. The role features a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule with rotating weekends/holidays and a generous sign-on bonus for qualifying experience.

You will care for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis, perform from EKG interpretation to bedside procedures, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care. Join a leading public employer with OPERS benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or seeking accreditation.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: BSN.

Responsibilities

• Staff the Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West (24 beds) with a focus on cardiac and medical–surgical needs.
• Provide expert nursing care including EKG interpretation and bedside procedures.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, and PT/OT to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
