Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at the Main Campus. The role involves caring for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, including EKG interpretation and bedside procedures, with rotating 12-hour shifts and weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualified candidates hold Ohio RN licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications; a BSN is preferred. The unit has 14 beds and offers a comprehensive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Assist with bedside procedures and critical care interventions.
• Monitor patients with telemetry and manage complex respiratory supports.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
