Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at the Main Campus. The role involves caring for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with responsibilities including EKG interpretation, central line care, respiratory support, and bedside procedures.

Candidates must hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS (or within 6 months), and have 1 year of RN experience for PRN positions. BSN preferred; Magnet-certified nurses encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• CPR/BLS for healthcare providers.
• ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire).
• PRN requires 1 year RN experience; certifications on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Interpret EKGs and manage respiratory support.
• Assist with bedside procedures and care coordination.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapy teams.
