Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West on the Main Campus. The role requires a Ohio RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of PRN experience.

You will care for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, using EKG interpretation, central line care, and ventilator support where needed. Work involves rotating shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with rotating weekends/holidays, 14-bed unit, and competitive benefits including tuition reimbursement and retirement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or an accredited program seeking accreditation.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification current or within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification current or within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) under rotating shifts.
• Perform and interpret EKGs, manage Central lines, and assist with procedures.
• Support with ventilator-related care and respiratory therapies as needed.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, and clinicians to ensure safe, quality care.
