Job summary

MetroHealth is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the Main Campus in Ohio. You will provide expert nursing care for patients with heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, utilizing advanced monitoring and telemetry, central line management, and bedside procedures.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS, with BSN preferred. We offer tuition reimbursement, certification incentives, and comprehensive health benefits as a public employer

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience; certifications required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Care for patients with central lines and assist with line care.
• Manage respiratory support: BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, Trach/Vents as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures and demonstrate strong critical thinking and time management.
