Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at the MetroHealth Main Campus. The role includes managing patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis using EKG interpretation, central line care, and advanced oxygen support.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio RN license, ACLS/BLS certifications, and 1+ year of RN experience in critical care environments. PRN options require current certifications and readiness to work rotating schedules.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Utilize EKG interpretation and line care in patient management.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and rehab services.
• Monitor patients on telemetry, vents, and high-flow oxygen.
