Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus—Glick. The role involves caring for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, including telemetry, central lines, and ventilatory support.

Requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and bedside procedure experience; PRN option with weekends/holidays rotation. Tuition reimbursement and certification incentives are offered by MetroHealth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West)
• Perform and interpret EKGs; monitor patients with telemetry
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies)
• Manage central lines and complex ventilatory support
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management
