Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at MetroHealth Main Campus. The role focuses on caring for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, using EKG interpretation and central line care.

You will work with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapy staff in a high-acuity environment. Required are OH RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within six months, and at least 1 year of RN experience for PRN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Critical Care Step Down Unit patients (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and manage central lines.
• Assist with bedside procedures and respiratory support (BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, ventilators).
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT and OT to deliver patient-centered care.
