Job summary
MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) on the Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves caring for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, while utilizing telemetry and advanced nursing skills.
Qualified candidates will hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS within 6 months), and have 1 year of RN experience for PRN.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
- PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
- Care for central lines and related access care.
- Provide respiratory support including Bi-PAP, high-flow oxygen, and Trach/vent management.
- Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
- Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management in a fast-paced unit.
