Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus-Glick. The role involves caring for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with responsibilities including EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures.

Applicants should have an Ohio RN license, BLS, and ACLS (or obtain within specified timelines). PRN positions require 1 year of RN experience and certifications at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
