Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at the Main Campus. The role emphasizes high-acuity patient care, telemetry monitoring, and collaboration with PCNAs, providers, and therapists. Rotating shifts with weekends/holidays are required.

Applicants must hold an Ohio RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS; BSN is preferred. PRN staff should have at least one year of RN experience in critical care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification (or obtainable within 6 months).
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor patient telemetry.
• Perform central line care and bedside procedures as needed.
• Assist with procedures such as endoscopies/bronchoscopies.
• Communicate and delegate with the care team to ensure safety and timely care.
