Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the Main Campus. The role involves monitoring critically ill patients with telemetry, performing bedside procedures, and coordinating care with nursing staff and providers.

Candidates must hold an Ohio RN license with BLS (and ACLS within 6 months of hire). Rotating shifts and weekends are required in a 7a–7p/7p–7a schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Monitor patients using telemetry and advanced monitoring tools.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and manage airway support.
• Interpret EKGs and respond to evolving patient conditions.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, nurses, providers, PT/OT for patient care.
