Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus. The role includes patient care on a 14-bed unit, EKG interpretation, central line care, and management of BiPAP/ventilatory support with opportunities for bedside procedures.

The ideal candidate has Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and a BSN preferred; PRN requires 1 year of RN experience and certifications upon hire. Enjoy comprehensive benefits and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Manage airway support including BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and vents as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management in a fast-paced unit
