Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCCU 4 night shift. You will deliver direct patient care using the nursing process and work with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

This full-time role requires adherence to Texas Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and a willingness to train as charge nurse or become a preceptor after two years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Willingness to be trained for charge nurse.
• Willingness to become a preceptor after two years of nursing experience.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English – verbal and written and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs family-centered evidence-based nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Implements physician’s orders in a safe and accurate manner.
• Assists with admitting, discharging and transferring patients.
• Transcribes and implements new physician orders.

Skills
