Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville Respiratory Therapy Services is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to provide bedside respiratory care in varied shifts.

You will administer therapies, monitor ventilators, perform diagnostic sampling, and document results in the EMR while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Candidates must be NBRC-credentialed and licensed, with an associate degree in respiratory therapy; BLS required, and advanced certifications may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC; current state license.
• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy; Associate degree required; BA/BS preferred.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required; Advanced certification per facility/department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in various modes and methods of oxygen delivery and the equipment needed for each; conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administers therapeutic procedures, understanding purpose and benefits; performs diagnostic procedures as outlined in policy.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; aware of critical care duties and effects of therapy.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes proper recommendations concerning plans of care and patient education needs.
• Documents therapy and results; communicates information to the healthcare team.
