Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate degree in respiratory therapy required; BA/BS preferred.
• NBRC credential (RRT) and state license required; BLS per policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and equipment to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and understands purpose, benefits, and risks; performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes proper recommendations for plans of care and patient education.
