Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner for Intensivist Medicine. This role delivers direct critical care, performs rounds, manages hospital admissions and discharges, and collaborates with physicians to implement evidence-based treatment plans.

The APN will counsel patients and families about medications and care options. Requires TX NP license and APRN board certification, BLS/ACLS within 30 days, and competency in EMR systems.

Qualifications

• TX RN license or compact privilege required.
• Current Texas APRN license and board certification relevant to patient population.
• BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in critical care settings with prescriptive authority.
• Conduct rounds, manage admissions and discharges.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Counsel patients and families on medical processes and medications.
