Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Intensivist Medicine to deliver direct patient care in critical care settings. The role includes prescriptive authority, credentialing, and operating as an independent provider in collaboration with supervising physicians.

The APRN will manage patient rounds, procedures, and hospital admissions/discharges, while coordinating with the team to ensure evidence-based outcomes and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• NP must be licensed and certified as an APRN in Texas.
• Experience in critical care is preferred but not always required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient conditions in ICU settings.
• Perform procedures as allowed by scope of practice and supervising physician.
• Rounding, admissions, and discharges in hospital.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to implement care plans.
• Counsel patients and families on medical processes and medications.
