Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner with critical care experience to join our Intensivist Medicine team on a PRN basis. The NP will provide direct patient care in critical care, perform rounds, manage admissions and discharges, and collaborate with supervising physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Applicants must hold Texas NP certification with current RN license, ACLS/BLS within 30 days, and be board-certified in ACNP-BC/ACNPC-AG/NNP-BC.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program.
• Current Texas RN license or compactRN.
• Texas APRN license and NP certification.
• BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• ACNP-BC/ACNPC-AG/NNP-BC board certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in critical care settings.
• Perform rounds, orders and interpretation of tests.
• Prescribe medication and treatments per supervising physician scope.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with evidence-based practices.
• Counsel patients and families on care plans, medications, and health promotion.
• Maintain and document patient records and outcomes.
• Provide on-call support and participate in admissions/discharges.
