Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Intensivist Medicine on a PRN basis. You will render direct patient care in critical care settings, with prescriptive authority under a supervising physician.

Rounding, admissions, discharges, and on-call support are part of the role. The successful candidate will have a Texas NP/APRN license, BLS/ACLS, and board certification, plus strong clinical judgment and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program.
• Current Texas RN or APRN licensure.
• Board certification in APRN appropriate to patient population.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with comprehensive exams and histories.
• Order and interpret labs and tests to guide care.
• Prescribe therapies and perform procedures per protocol.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans with the care team.
• Counsel patients and families on care, meds, and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and coordinate referrals.
