Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is hiring a Unit Coordinator to provide essential administrative support for clinical services in a behavioral health crisis unit. You will oversee registration and insurance verification, manage the EHR, and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize operations.

You will perform visitor management, ensure security, handle referrals, and assist with discharge planning while maintaining high-quality customer service for families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of exceptional customer service-oriented work experience.
• Three years of clerical experience.
• Current Notary or ability to become notary within the first 90 days.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• BLS must be obtained within seven days of hire.
• Background checks: Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Criminal Background Check, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check.
• The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy, with exemptions process where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Register individuals for services in the appropriate episode of care, including Medicaid eligibility checks.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to communicate concerns regarding psychiatric or medical presentations.
• Greet and manage visitors, logbook, and security procedures.
• Oversee and update the episode of care in the EHR; coordinate discharge processes with other facilities.
• Obtain and manage clinical records; communicate with physicians, nurses, and other staff.
• Assist with 302 involuntary processes and serve as liaison across departments.
• Coordinate ordering of meals, equipment, and unit supplies for daily operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to families, visitors, and vendors.
• Answer incoming calls, transfer information, and take messages.
• Perform other duties to support unit efficiency.
