Job summary

Connections Health Solutions in Leesburg, VA, is seeking a Unit Coordinator to provide administrative and clerical support for clinical services. You will oversee registration, insurance verification, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure efficient functioning of the unit.

This role requires strong customer service and clerical experience, notary eligibility within 90 days, and the ability to follow security procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of exceptional customer service experience.
• 3 years of clerical experience.
• Must be a Notary or able to become one within 90 days.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Must pass Virginia background checks.

Responsibilities

• Register individuals for services and verify Medicaid eligibility and insurance.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and communicate concerns to the appropriate team.
• Greet visitors and manage security and logbooks.
• Oversee patient records in the EHR and coordinate discharges.
• Obtain requested clinical records and relay to physicians and nurses.
• Assist with ECO/TDO and serve as liaison across departments.
• Order meals and maintain unit supplies for daily activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and welcome families and vendors.
• Answer calls, provide information, and take messages as needed.
• Complete required training and attend monthly meetings.
