Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is a leading provider of immediate-access behavioral health crisis care in Phoenix. The Unit Coordinator II handles registration, insurance checks, phones, and unit census, coordinating with clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.

You will obtain and relay patient information from hospital and ED staff, coordinate petitions, bed placement, and document actions in the EHR, while supporting ongoing staff training and maintaining the patient board.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of administrative experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of behavioral health experience.
• Current Notary or ability to become one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Registers and checks enrollment eligibility, including Third Party Liability and private insurance.
• Coordinates the administrative process for handling petitions, notarizes petitions, logs and hands off to prescribing Provider.
• Relays consumer information from hospital staff and monitors clinical timelines of involuntary process.
• Arranges pick up orders with police and oversees COE/PAD detention orders.
• Coordinates bed placement and updates the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Answers telephones for admission and discharge purposes.
• Maintains the patient board, assigns Providers and staff, and tracks real-time status.
• Participates in ongoing training and demonstrates competency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
