Job summary

WellSpace Health is seeking a Program Manager for Suicide Prevention to lead the crisis line program, supervise volunteers and staff, and ensure quality assurance across services. The role requires strong leadership, on-call flexibility, and coordination with community partners.

The position emphasizes confidentiality, training, reporting, and maintaining accreditation while collaborating with the Director of Healthcare Delivery Operations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) or 3–5 years related work experience in lieu of education.
• Commitment to serving underserved populations and diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of patient care, addiction treatment and community resources (Medicare, Medi-Cal, SSI) and county programs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
• Flexible, high-stress work with the ability to work on-call and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall crisis program.
• Recruit, screen, train, and supervise volunteers.
• Supervise paid department staff and Supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality.
• Ensure crisis line is staffed; provide on-call coverage and scheduling support.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly and annual reports; engage with community groups.
• Develop QA/QI processes; maintain accreditation standards.
• Coordinate with Board, Management, and committees; adjust policies as needed.
• Assist in department budget preparation and monthly monitoring.
• Provide trainings and presentations to community groups; supervise staff and volunteers.
• Oversee mandated reporting and track high-frequency callers.
• Other duties as assigned.
