Wellstar Health System, Inc. seeks a Suicide Prevention Manager to lead strategic, quality and safety initiatives for suicide prevention across the health system. The role supervises the suicide prevention team, drives training, and coordinates metrics with leadership to meet KPIs.

The position focuses on implementing evidenced-based care pathways, coordinating system-wide prevention efforts, and maintaining safety-focused policies to reduce risk and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a behavioral health setting; experience in suicide prevention within a health or behavioral health system
• Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with people from all backgrounds
• Knowledge of best practices related to suicide prevention
• Commitment to developing and maintaining a culture of safety
• Project management knowledge and experience
• Understanding of accrediting bodies related to the healthcare system

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision, coaching and education to Suicide Prevention Case Managers and oversees daily operations of the Suicide Prevention Team.
• Maintain a partial caseload and/or manage outreach referrals based on volume and needs of the team
• Develop and implement standardized measures of success related to screening and safety planning
• Maintain Zero Suicide Dashboard and prepare metrics for leadership use and reporting
• Coordinate suicide prevention activities and training requests across the system
• Present data and progress towards goals at leadership levels and act as SME on related policies

Education

Masters Psychology or Masters Professional Counseling or Masters Social Work or Masters Other / Related Field
