Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a telephonic behavioral health support professional to screen, assess, and intervene for callers in crisis. You will conduct safety checks, determine immediate action plans, and document interactions in accordance with established criteria.

The role requires a HS diploma with 2 years in behavioral health or crisis exposure, and prefers a BS/BA in a human services field. Office presence may be required occasionally, with most shifts remote under a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 2 years in behavioral health or 6 months crisis experience.
• BS/BA in mental health or human services strongly preferred; some contracts require BS/BA.
• Fluent with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Teams; OneNote preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes inbound calls, texts and chats from individuals needing support or in crisis.
• Performs safety screenings and assessments to gauge risk and determine interventions.
• Develops an action plan in collaboration with the individual based on assessment data.
• Documents interactions accurately and timely per established criteria.
• Provides linkage follow-up and coordinates with agencies to optimize resources.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and other regulations.
