Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Unit Coordinator to provide administrative support for clinical services and to ensure efficient unit operations. You will handle registrations, insurance verification, scheduling, and communications with the clinical team.

You will greet visitors, maintain security, and manage electronic health records, discharges, and information transfers with physicians and nurses. A Notary is required within 90 days; state checks apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of exceptional service customer service‑oriented work experience.
• 3 years of clerical experience.
• Current Notary or ability to become a notary within the first 90 days.
• Must pass Virginia background and central registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Registers individuals for services, including Medicaid verification and scheduling.
• Coordinate with clinical team and communicate concerns to the appropriate discipline.
• Greet visitors and maintain security and logs.
• Oversee electronic health record episodes and discharge coordination.
• Obtain clinical records and communicate with physicians and nurses.
• Assist with ECO/TDO; act as liaison between departments.
• Coordinate meals, equipment, and unit supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service and a welcoming environment.
• Answer calls, transfer information, and take messages.
• Complete training and attend meetings; maintain competencies.
• Coordinate civil commitment processes with stakeholders.
