Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Unit Coordinator in Harrisburg, PA to support clinical services and ensure smooth unit operations. You will handle registration, insurance verification, and office tasks while coordinating with clinical staff to optimize care delivery.

The role requires strong customer service, clerical experience, and familiarity with patient records. A notary option within 90 days is preferred, with comprehensive benefits and a commitment to crisis-focused care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of exceptional customer service experience.
• 3 years of clerical experience.
• Notary or ability to become a notary within 90 days.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Background checks: Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Background Check, PA State Police Background Check.
• Mandatory vaccination policy: fully vaccinated or eligible for exemption.

Responsibilities

• Register individuals for services, verify Medicaid eligibility and health plan enrollment, and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to communicate concerns about psychiatric or medical presentation.
• Greet and manage visitors, maintain security protocols and logbook.
• Oversee EHR entries and coordinate discharge processes with inpatient facilities.
• Obtain and manage clinical records; coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other providers.
• Assist with 302 involuntary processes and act as liaison across departments.
• Coordinate meals, equipment, and unit supplies for daily operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to families, visitors, and vendors; answer calls and transfer messages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
