Xcel Energy is seeking a Standard Operations professional in Minnesota to coordinate daily work plans for crews across multiple areas. The role emphasizes safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource use.

Expect onsite collaboration with a hybrid model, working with supervisors to optimize schedules and allocations. The ideal candidate has five years of utility experience, strong Excel skills, and solid communication abilities to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years’ experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations area (utility experience preferred).
• Scheduling/planning experience.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet requirements.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules on a day-to-day basis and assign crews for priority tasks.
• Review approved incoming designed work outside normal scheduling window and manage exceptions.
• Coordinate equipment, complete prerequisites, and ensure proper work readiness and approvals.
• Manage rejections, triage new requests, and adjust schedules to maintain start dates.
• Communicate with supervisors and stakeholders to maximize productivity and efficiency.
