Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minnesota is hiring for a Standard Operations position focused on coordinating daily work plans for field crews. This role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and regulatory compliance while optimizing crew assignments and resources across multiple areas.

The individual will manage scheduling, adjust plans daily, and liaise with frontline leaders to ensure timely completion and efficient use of assets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years' experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations (utility experience preferred).
• Scheduling/planning experience.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools.
• Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules and assign crews based on resources and real-time progress.
• Review and manage exception work within the queue.
• Coordinate all equipment, prerequisites, and materials for work.
• Ensure proper work acceptance and site readiness.
• Communicate schedule updates to leaders, crews and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with supervisors and stakeholders to maximize productivity and efficiency.
