Job summary

IES Communications in Rayville, LA, seeks a Crew Lead - Structured Cabling to act as on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. You will ensure job completion per quality and safety standards while maintaining staff efficiency.

The role requires fiber termination experience, supervisory skills, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to travel within the territory as needed. Overtime is available and a sign-on bonus applies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Minimum of six (6) months supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Proficient with the listed tools and be able to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements.
• Must know universal communications color codes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead major project crews and ensure safety and quality.
• Provide training and supervision for staff performance.
• Adhere to company and customer safety and quality guidelines; hold weekly safety meetings.
• Coordinate with Project Manager/Lead to ensure productivity and budget compliance.
• Complete project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, transfers, work orders, change orders).
• Perform quality checks; coordinate moves and prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site customer contact and attend meetings as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; complete other assigned duties.
