Job summary

IES Communications, Reno, NV, seeks a Crew Lead - Structured Cabling to act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. The role ensures completion while upholding safety and quality requirements and maintaining staff efficiency on site.

You will lead project crews, coordinate with the Project Manager for productivity and budgets, and complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets and change orders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of three years in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Ability to terminate fiber.
• Minimum of six months supervisory/managerial experience.
• Ability to use the listed tools effectively.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.
• Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
• Proficiency with the listed tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Meet company driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Project Manager/Lead to ensure productivity, job completion and budget compliance.
• Fully completes all paperwork on time, including timesheets, work orders, change orders and reports.
• Performs quality checks, coordinates moves and cross-connects, and prepares red-lined as-built drawings.
• Acts as main on-site customer contact and attends meetings as required.
• Performs work with technical knowledge, troubleshoots issues as they arise.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
