Job summary

Challenge Unlimited Inc. is seeking a Full-time Janitor (Crew Lead Janitor) for the day shift at Fort McCoy, WI. The role involves cleaning and maintenance to keep the facility in a clean and orderly condition. Pay is $18.20 per hour with a 8:00 am – 3:30 pm shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms).
• Sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks and toilets.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs; empty trash and recycling.
• Dust and clean offices and furniture; clean windowsills and windows.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms; assist with break rooms as needed.

Position Summary:

We are looking a Full-time Janitor for the day shift Crew Lead Janitor to take care of our building at Fort McCoy WI to carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our facility in a clean and orderly condition.

Driving Required:

• Pay Rate: $18.20per hour
• Shift: Full-time, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Location: Fort Mccoy, Sparta WI

Job Duties:

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom
• clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• . Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. helpful but not required.
• Experience: 1+ years of janitorial experience. Supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
• Certifications/Licenses: Driver's License (regular license in IL, WI, OH, SC; or Class E in MO)
• Background Checks: Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
• Driving: Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver's license and be 21 or older to drive Company van to transport workers, supplies, and equipment between building assignments. Company travel using personal insured vehicles is not required.
