Job summary

Challenge Unlimited is seeking a dedicated Janitor/Custodian to maintain a clean and orderly facility at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. The role offers a full-time schedule (8:00am - 3:30pm) with a pay rate of $17.75 per hour and a Monday–Friday shift.

Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, restocking supplies, vacuuming and mopping, trash removal, and light maintenance. Eligibility includes being 18+, passing background checks, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

• Be 18 years or older.
• Pass criminal background checks and state/federal registry checks.

• Perform janitorial duties at Fort McCoy.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock bathrooms and facilities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and recycling; replace liners as needed.
• Dust and clean desks, windowsills, and office areas; ensure areas are uncluttered.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Janitor, or Custodian, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

• Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour
• Shift: Monday- Friday
• Full-time: 8:00am - 3:30pm
• Location: Ft. McCoy, Sparta, WI

Typical Job Duties:

• Responsible for janitorial duties at Fort McCoy
• Clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.
