Job summary

Challenge Unlimited Inc. is seeking a Full-time Crew Lead Janitor for the night shift at Scott Air Force Base. The role involves cleaning and maintenance to keep the facility in a clean, orderly condition. Driving is a requirement for transporting workers, supplies, and equipment between assignments.

Pay rate is $18.20 per hour plus Federal Benefits. Shifts are Monday-Friday, 4:30pm - 12:30am. Location is Scott Air Force Base and immediate start is desired.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years of janitorial work.
• Driver's license is required; multiple state licenses may apply depending on location.
• Supervisory experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning).
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repair needs.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations.

We are looking a Full-time Crew Lead Janitor at Scott Air Force Basefor the night shift, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our facility in a clean and orderly condition.

Driving is a requirement.

Job Duties:

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. helpful, butnot required.
• Experience: 1+ years of janitorial experience. Supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
• Certifications/Licenses: Driver’s License (regular license in IL, WI, OH, SC; or Class E in MO)
• Background Checks: Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
• Driving: Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive Company van to transport workers, supplies, and equipment between building assignments. Company travel using personal insured vehicles is not required.

Physical Demands:

• Sitting Occasionally sitting in the normal course of office-sedentary type work.
