Job summary

Challenge Unlimited Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Janitor to care for our Fort McCoy site in Sparta, WI, keeping the building clean and orderly.

The role involves cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, floors and common areas with a 4:30am–12:00pm schedule Monday through Friday. This position offers health benefits, time off, and training opportunities, and welcomes applicants including those with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pass criminal background checks and state/federal registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for janitorial duties at Fort McCoy.
• Clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and recycling cans and replace liners; clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture; clean windowsills and windows.
• Clean break rooms and other applicable areas.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Contribute to teamwork by training and helping co-workers.
• Maintain safety, quality and customer service.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Janitor, or Custodian, to take care of our building and carry out Janitorial cleaning and maintenance duties at Fort McCoy. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

This is an ideal position for an individual with a disability. Candidates with a disability will be strongly considered!

• Pay Rate: $17.75per hour
• Shift:Monday- Friday
• Full-time: 4:30am - 12:00pm
• Location: Ft. McCoy, Sparta, WI

Typical Job Duties:

• Responsible for janitorial duties at Fort McCoy

• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.

• Pushing and pulling up to 30 lbs.
• Be 18 years or older.
