Job summary

Challenge Unlimited in Wisconsin seeks a dedicated Janitor/Custodian to maintain a clean, safe facility at Fort McCoy. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm, full-time, with a pay rate of $17.75 per hour.

You will perform cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, and light maintenance, follow safety protocols, and support a collaborative team. Eligibility requires 18+, background checks, and readiness to work in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pass criminal background checks and state/federal registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties at Fort McCoy.
• Clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms and facilities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors.
• Empty trash and recyclables and replace liners.
• Dust and clean desks and windows, and maintain cleanliness of break rooms.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Contribute to teamwork and help co-workers.
• Maintain safety, quality and customer service.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Janitor, or Custodian, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

This is an ideal position for an individual with a disability. Candidates with a disability will be strongly considered!

• Pay Rate: $17.75per hour
• Shift:Monday- Friday
• Full-time:8:00am - 3:30pm
• Location: Ft. McCoy, Sparta, WI

Typical Job Duties:

• Responsible for janitorial duties at Fort McCoy
• clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• . Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.
