Job summary

Challenge Unlimited is hiring a Full-time Crew Lead Janitor for the night shift at Scott Air Force Base to maintain a clean and orderly facility. Driving is a requirement for transporting workers and supplies between buildings.

The position offers a pay rate of $18.20 per hour plus Federal Benefits, with Monday–Friday 4:30pm–12:30am shifts at Scott Air Force Base.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. helpful, but not required.
• Experience: 1+ years of janitorial experience.
• Certifications/Licenses: Driver’s License (IL/WI/OH/SC; or Class E in MO).
• Background Checks: Pass criminal background, state/federal registry checks, and DCFS checks.
• Driving: Must pass driving history check and be 21+ to drive Company van.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc).
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.

Driving is a requirement.

• Shifts: Full-time: Monday-Friday; 4:30pm - 12:30am

Job Duties:

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. helpful, butnot required.
• Experience: 1+ years of janitorial experience. Supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
• Certifications/Licenses: Driver’s License (regular license in IL, WI, OH, SC; or Class E in MO)
• Background Checks: Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
• Driving: Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive Company van to transport workers, supplies, and equipment between building assignments. Company travel using personal insured vehicles is not required.
