Job summary

Challenge Unlimited is seeking a Janitor/Custodian to maintain cleanliness at Fort McCoy in Sparta, WI. The role covers general janitorial duties and maintenance to keep the facilities in good condition.

Pay is $17.75 per hour with a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 4:30am to 12:00pm. Candidates must be 18+, pass background checks, and be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning facilities and maintaining sanitary conditions.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and workplace hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties at Fort McCoy.
• Clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and recycling; replace liners.
• Dust and clean offices and furniture; clean windowsills and windows.
• Clean break rooms and other contract areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Support teamwork and help co-workers.
• Maintain high safety, quality and customer service standards.

Position Summary: We are looking for a Janitor, or Custodian, to take care of our building and carry out Janitorial cleaning and maintenance duties at Fort McCoy. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

• Pay Rate: $17.75per hour
• Shift:Monday- Friday
• Full-time: 4:30am - 12:00pm
• Location: Ft. McCoy, Sparta, WI

Typical Job Duties:

• Responsible for janitorial duties at Fort McCoy
• clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• . Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.

Requirements:

• Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Pushing and pulling up to 30 lbs.
• Be 18 years or older.
• Pass criminal background checks and various state/federal registry check.
