Job summary

Challenge Unlimited is hiring a dedicated Janitor/Custodian for Fort McCoy, WI. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 4:30am to 12:00pm with a pay rate of $17.75 per hour at Ft. McCoy, Sparta. The role focuses on cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining a clean, orderly environment.

The ideal candidate is 18 or older, capable of lifting up to 30 lbs, and will pass background checks. Benefits include health care, life insurance, PTO, disability and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Able to pass criminal background checks and other registry checks.
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties at Fort McCoy and adjacent areas.
• Clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms and common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs; manage trash and recycling.
• Clean windowsills and surfaces; support break rooms and offices.
• Operate janitorial equipment safely and support team workflow.
• Maintain safety, quality and customer service in daily tasks.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Janitor, or Custodian, to take care of our building and carry out Janitorial cleaning and maintenance duties at Fort McCoy. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

This is an ideal position for an individual with a disability. Candidates with a disability will be strongly considered!

• Pay Rate: $17.75per hour
• Shift:Monday- Friday
• Full-time: 4:30am - 12:00pm
• Location: Ft. McCoy, Sparta, WI

Typical Job Duties:

• Responsible for janitorial duties at Fort McCoy
• clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• . Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service.

• Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Pushing and pulling up to 30 lbs.
• Be 18 years or older.
• Pass criminal background checks and various state/federal registry check.
