Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an AV Service Technician to support corporate clients mainly in New York City. The role emphasizes service, troubleshooting, and control-system support with hands-on programming modifications as needed.

Ideal candidates bring strong Crestron experience and comfort working in executive boardrooms, conference centers, and broadcast-related environments; traditional full-time field service with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AV field service experience with an AV integration company.
• Strong Crestron experience required; ability to modify and upload programs.
• Experience using Crestron Toolbox for diagnostics and firmware management.
• Experience supporting broadcast, live production, or media environments preferred.
• Biamp Tesira experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to AV service tickets across corporate environments.
• Troubleshoot AV systems including control interfaces, audio, video routing, and connectivity.
• Download, review, modify, test, and upload Crestron programming changes as needed.
• Utilize Crestron Toolbox for diagnostics, device discovery, firmware updates, and system management.
• Troubleshoot Crestron control processors, touch panels, DM, and NVX environments.
• Diagnose AV-related network issues (IP conflicts, connectivity, basic switch issues).
• Navigate DSP platforms to review configurations and diagnose faults (Biamp Tesira preferred).
• Support AV technologies including Crestron, Biamp Tesira, Extron/AMX, Teams/Zoom/Cisco endpoints, AV-over-IP, displays, projectors, video walls, and broadcasting tech.
• Collaborate with IT on network-related issues and document service activities clearly.
