Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Rental Credit Specialist to analyze creditworthiness for Ryder's Rental, National Rental and FMG customers and provide value-added recommendations to support sales growth while mitigating risk.

The role involves reviewing credit reports, financial statements, and documentation; determining proper credit lines; and coordinating with sales, collections, and operations to manage high-risk accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting, or 3 years equivalent experience.
• Two or more years in commercial credit and financial statement analysis preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial data and assess credit risks.
• Capable of multi-tasking with excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Rental, National Rental and FMG sales on credit requests for new customers and increased lines.
• Assist lease analyst in initial review of lease assignments and gather Ryder documentation.
• Review credit reports, Ryder history, and financial statements.
• Assess deterioration in credit worthiness and adjust exposure and credit lines.
• Communicate with stop loss, collections, sales and operations on high-risk accounts.
• Verify critical documentation and security from customers (ACH, deposits, ILOCs, guarantees).
• Support daily Credit Hold Mailbox with proper information.
