Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture seeks an experienced Credit & Collections Supervisor to coordinate accounts receivable and collection duties. You will approve or decline credit, investigate finances of applicants, and ensure procedures minimize losses while growing AR.

You’ll contact delinquent customers, supervise staff, and maintain meticulous records. Responsibilities include reviewing credit applications, documenting actions, and coordinating with legal channels when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; three years in accounting/bookkeeping, loan processing, and/or collections.
• Valid State Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to approve or decline credit and establish credit limits.

Responsibilities

• Oversees accounts receivable and collection operations.
• Reviews and evaluates credit applications; approves or rejects credit requests.
• Contacts delinquent customers to collect payments via phone or text.
• Prepares paperwork prior to legal action and coordinates with attorneys or agencies.
• Maintains accurate customer files and documentation of communications.
• Ensures daily posting of payments and proper cash handling procedures.
