Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a Credit and Receivables Supervisor to coordinate and oversee accounts receivable and collections. You will approve or decline credit, investigate applicants, and ensure procedures limit losses while growing the store’s credit activities.

You will manage staff, review delinquent accounts, and supervise documentation and filing of customer records, with occasional collaboration with legal channels for severely delinquent accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in accounting, loan processing, and/or collections
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License
• Ability to manage accounts receivable and collections processes and procedures

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs assigned staff in credit operations and collections
• Oversees accounts receivable and collection activities
• Reviews credit applications and verifies financial status for approval or rejection
• Contacts overdue customers to collect payments and enforce terms
• Ensures proper documentation and filing of customer records and correspondence
• Prepares paperwork for potential legal action and coordinates with attorneys or outside agencies
