Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a Credit/Collections Specialist to assist the credit manager in coordinating accounts receivable and collections. You will help approve or decline credit, investigate financial status, and manage delinquent accounts to minimize losses while growing AR.

You’ll also document communications and assist with repossessions as needed. The role includes leading staff in AR/collections, reviewing credit applications, and coordinating with customers to collect overdue

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3 years in accounting, loan processing, and/or collections.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• Experience overseeing accounts receivable and collections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Approve or decline credit applications; set credit limits.
• Contact delinquent customers via phone/text and mail notices.
• Prepare documents for collection actions and potential legal steps.
• Maintain accurate files and reporting of credit operations.
